Next Autumn/Winter 2012

When outfit photos go very wrong...

On Thursday I was lucky enough to head to Somerset House to attend the Next Autumn/Winter press day with the rather lovely Claire, Lyzi, and Stacey. Despite it being a million degrees all it took was a smattering of sequins to get me excited for Autumn and I was soon trawling through the rails of leopard, lace, and fur with glee. It looks like old friends collars and loafers will be sticking around for another season which is a win in my book (how nice are those leopard tassled beauts?!) and the jewellery, oh the jewellery! I’m not usually a HUGE accessories girl but I found myself being drawn to the sparkling rings and rose gold watches despite having never worn a watch in my life.
I also had a bit of a drool over the homeware, when I eventually get the 3 bedroomed terrace of my dreams (it has a loft and a basement which will be converted into a bar, not that I've planned this out already) I’ll be decking it out in Next for sure!

  2. Haha nice to see I'm not the only one who has outfit photo fails! The amount I end up with I definitely should consider an outtakes post as some of them are hilarious, forever taking pulling more dodgy expressions than serious/acceptable ones!
Next homeware is SO nice, I've popped into my local store with my mum a few times and find myself lusting over random house-y pieces. Mainly bedding and random 'accessories' that I know my boyfriend would class as pointless (but are obviously a must!)
Anyway, gonna stop leaving you an essay length comment now and go haha! xx

  14. Next are doing really well at the minute with clothes and with homeware. I LOVE it! These autumn/winter pieces look amazing but I am not wishing for autumn yet. I just love summer too much and this brief interlude of sun has made me very happy!

  18. Lovely pictures (especially the outfit one!! :D), I never used to shop in Next until I spotted a gorgeous trench in the window this winter, now I always like to pop in and have a browse. I think for me, I had the preconception of Next being too 'grown up' in style, but now I realise they have some incredibly nice pieces. x

  30. I'm not a huge next fan as their clothing doesn't suit my body shape, but I adore their homeware departments. Those cute heart shape boxes would be perfect for your DIY Beauty Box!

  31. I really love the pictures in this post! Seeing as we don't seem to be having much of a summer in England, I think I'll just start getting excited for when the winter collections are available after seeing this... :)
