Leopard Print is Taking Over my Wardrobe

Trying to hold the jacket together=awkward hand position

I bought this fur jacket last year for cheaps from Republic, I do love it and it makes me feel like a stuffed animal BUT i'm having trouble styling it. I've tried it with a dress and I feel Bet Lynchified, I've tried it with skirts and I feel prostituty with my bleach damaged hair, and I've gone for shorts here and it looks too cas(ual)? My last attempt will be some wine skinnys which could work but might again look a bit too dressed down, espesh as I wanted to be draped in leopard fur for my trip into London on Thursday. So any suggestions would be most welcome!

Today was actually a last minute day off from work for me as the landlords were sending a maintenence man around and I had to play hide the cat once again, the poor little mite has spent most of the day hiding in the bedroom listening to post hardcore (If I call it emo I feel too old to be listening to it) at a non offensive to his cat ears volume whilst eating dry food in an attempt to stop him leaving little gifts on my clothes. Other than a trip to the doctors this has pretty much been my day - why do people always cough so much more in the doctors? You don't need to prove your illness to me : / I'll be spending tonight catching up on blogs, enjoying a bath, and most likely watching big brother...GO HOME FAYE.
And just to throw it in another post, GO HOME FRANKIE YOU LOOK RIDICULOUS

I found this on google images, I'd like to credit this lady as she looks fun but I don't know who she is

  1. Hi! love the jacket!
I have the same problem with my leopard jacket, I just never know what to put it with. Sometimes I find leggings and a dress works quite well together, but mine is a longer length than yours so it would depend on what the dress looked like,
The wine skinnys would be the best bet I think, or black skinnys? You could try wearin chunky wedges with them to dress it up a bit?
post us an outfit post for your trip to london so we can see what you decide on!

  3. I am the same with leopard print in general. I love it, but find it very hard to style without looking a bit too crazy/tacky.

  4. I think it would look awesome with skinnys.. quite rock and roll! Or with a floaty girly skirt to avoid prostitute-esque lol! Your probably being too critical on your outfits coz I think the coat will look good with almost anything :)

  6. I am so in love with leopard print right now, it's all I ever want to wear. I think it would great with skinnies, even a skirt (I don't think it would look prostituteish if it was the right skirt)

  8. I think it'd look great with skinnys! I'd have a hard time styling it too, mainly because I'm not used to buying short jackets; most of mine are thigh length and so quite easy to put over anything! I'm sure you'll work something out x

  26. love love LOVE leopard print! i have a slightly longer length version of yours, which i wear with dresses and tights.. did wear mine last year with suspender tights- defo looked like a prozzie!! ha! enjoy london!

ps. mop lady is fabulous!! xx

  27. This is why I love you; because you post photos of random women with mops on their heads! There doesn't have to be an explanation, it's just all in the name of good, wholesome fun.

Love the jacket, but I know what you mean about feeling a bit Bet Lynch/prostitutey - I've got a coat that's kind of a mixture of zebra/leopard/dalmatian (sounds weird but it's nice, I promise) and if I ever wear it with an outfit that involves heels, I immediately feel like an 80s hooker. I just embrace it though...
I'd say go for the skinnies or just a very plain black dress or skirt - as long as the rest of the outfit is fairly toned down, you won't look like Bet ;) x

  28. I would generally try a black, simple, "conservative" dress with thick tights. Where all the attention would be the jacket. I see the jacket as an evening jacket rather than a day one. But you said you've tried the dress idea, so maybe not? Hope you still manage to style it cause it's a lovely jacket :D xx
